All the services provided by Cancer Care West are available to the patient and their families at no cost and we rely heavily on charitable fundraising and donations to meet the cost of providing these services. There are many ways you could support Cancer Care West. Participate in one of our fundraising events throughout the year Cancer Care West organises many different fundraising events around the West of Ireland throughout the year - a calendar of events is listed overleaf.
We are always looking for people to participate in these events and raise funds on our behalf.
Organise an event in your own area
The work of Cancer Care West is greatly supported by ‘Friends of Cancer Care West Committees'. These are groups of people, many of whom have found their lives touched by cancer, who dedicate some of their time and skills to organising or assisting with fundraising activities in their own area. Some of the Cancer Care West ‘Friends Committees' are community or home based, others are organised through the workplace or social/sports club.
If you would like to establish a ‘Friends of Cancer Care West Committee' in your area please contact us. We always welcome new ideas and will be happy to support you by providing leaflets and posters which give information about our projects. If you would like someone from Cancer Care West to attend your event, either to give a short talk or to accept the proceeds we will be happy to arrange this - just contact the Cancer Care West office in advance.
Become a donor
Donate to one of the Cancer Care West projects, or make a once off or regular donation directly to the charity. Donations are eligible for tax relief which means Cancer Care West can maximise the value of your donation.
Become a volunteer
We always welcome volunteers to help out with flag days, church gate collections, stewarding at various events and supporting our Christmas card campaign.
