Many thanks to all those who baked for and bought at our recent cake sale in the Support Centre.

Thanks to your support, it was a resounding success.

Compliments are flowing in regarding the quality of the baking so domestic goddesses out there take a well-deserved bow. Over 2,000 euro was raised.

Colman Collins once again takes to the water every day during the month of November and this year he is hoping to raise €10,000 for Cancer Care West.

We are hosting a public talk ‘Communication in Families during Illness’ on Thursday October 20th at 8pm. This talk will be given by Dr Susan Delaney, from the Irish Hospice Foundation. This talk is free of charge and open to all. If you would like to learn more about this area, please come along. Light refreshments will be provided on the night. Further information at 091 540040.

A record 2,400 runners took part in Cancer Care West's Galway Bay 10k walk/run and half marathon on Saturday, raising in the region of €50,000 for the charity.
