Walk for Life, Walk for Health, the joint fundraising initiative is a sponsored 5,000km walk taking place at 11.00am on Saturday June 18th throughout every parish in county Galway. The total distance of each walk per parish will vary, with refreshments being provided by Supervalu at every finish line. Cancer Care West and Galway GAA Football encourage people to take part in this community event to help raise funds for both organisations.
Organisers of the Mayo and Galway Cycling Clubs 100K cycle present a cheque for €4,700 to Sharon Fitzpatrick, Cancer Care West.
