It has often been said that 'food is a great silencer', but during the Nutrition Workshop we hope the opposite is true! Strangers meet on week one, and become friends during the course.
The philosophy of the workshops are that the body can only work with what we give it, so it is absolutely vital that we give it the very best.
During the three week course, Susan aims to hold a very relaxed, yet informative cooking demonstration, where people get to meet, observe, participate, question and enjoy the dishes prepared on the day. The nutritional needs of each participant are catered for during the course, as no two people are the same.
General topics that are covered during the workshop include the importance of organic food, identifying foods that help with the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy and the importance of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. The presence of these in everyday foods is identified.
Recipes for the meals prepared, are handed out during each session, so you can prepare wholesome meals from home.
Susan Quigley hosts the workshop, having qualified in 2008 from The Irish Institute of Nutrition & Health, as a Dietary Advisor. She is incredibly passionate about her work and believes it is food that fuels our body. Susan is happy to research any specific needs or queries you may have and deliver them to you the following week.
