Weekly Classes and Group Supports for Adults

For many people impacted by cancer they find benefit in gaining support in a group setting. Some find sharing with others helpful while others gain from listening or solely participating in a group class or exercise group where they feel accepted and understood. We have a range of groups supports from weekly classes and peer support groups. Booking in advance is required. Please contact us on 074 9601901 or email us [email protected] , or alternatively drop-in to the Support Centre without an appointment from Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 4:00pm or Friday 9:00am – 2:00pm for more information.

These classes are structured to suit the need of the client and are client-led. Offering support and care to clients, these classes aim to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Practicing mindfulness and guided relaxation can help reduce stress and tension.

Special Events

In addition to the formal clinics and support groups, our support Centre occasionally hosts much more informal get togethers which are usually seasonally based. Around Easter time we offer a flower arranging event and to date this has been a fantastic source of cordiality and mutual support. Throughout the year we also host informal coffee mornings such as those held around Saint Patrick's Day. Again these are advertised via social media and our updated calendar
