Join the Virtual Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim

This August, we’re inviting swimmers everywhere to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim by taking on a challenge — Your Way.
Swim 13km — Anywhere, Anytime in August
Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or just love the water, you can join us by completing a 13km swim, the equivalent of crossing Galway Bay, at your own pace throughout the month of August.
You choose the location:
  • Sea
  • Pool
  • Lake or River
Solo or with a team — it’s up to you!
Get Involved, Get Rewarded
Every swimmer who signs up will receive:
  • A Cancer Care West swim cap
  • A commemorative medal
More importantly, by taking part, you’ll be helping us raise vital funds for Cancer Care West, supporting cancer patients and their families throughout the West of Ireland
