Help support our cancer services by taking on our monthly challenge.

Challenge yourself to walk 10,000 steps everyday during the month and help raise much needed funds for our services. Each participant will receive a t-shirt.

This challenge is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Psychologist Dr Kate Barrett and Counsellor Mary-Kate Kelly will host a ‘Living With Uncertainty’ webinar on the 31st January 2023. This webinar will focus on learning how to live well after a cancer diagnosis, and strategies for managing thoughts and feelings.

If you or your loved one is struggling with adjustment in the aftermath of cancer treatment, this webinar will be beneficial to you.

Mairead and John will give people tools and strategies on how best to manage the fear and uncertainty that cancer patients can face

Prostate Cancer Support and Information Series. Zoom Meeting

Cancer Care West will host a webinar on Prostate Cancer Support.

Our next online Prostate Cancer Information and Support session will be on Wed 20th April 2022 at 6pm via Zoom.

Our speaker on the night will be Ms Geraldine O’Boyle, Advanced Nurse Practitioner at GUH, and she will speak about sexual issues following the treatment of prostate cancer. Ms. Rachael Dalton, Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Prostate Cancer, Galway University Hospital and Dr John Donohue, Senior Psychologist at Cancer Care West will facilitate the session. Questions can be submitted in advance and cameras can remain off if preferred.
